Guided session

Step 1 of 8

Before you start

Sit upright at a desk or table. Stable chair. Screen at comfortable reading distance. You’ll do warm-up → VOR horizontal → VOR vertical → optokinetic → choice of eye–head or habituation → cool-down. Rate nausea 0–10; stay ≤5.

Do not train intoxicated, hungover, driving, or on stairs. Stop for red flags (new neuro signs, sudden hearing loss, hours of true spinning, chest pain, uncontrolled vomiting, neck injury).

Baseline nausea (0 = none, 10 = worst):

Warm-up

Easy gaze + breathing

VOR ×1 · horizontal

Eyes locked, head yaw

Fix on the letter. Turn your head left↔right about 20–30° as fast as the letter stays clear. 45s bout, then rest. 2 reps.

Session complete

Nice work. Mild symptoms should settle within ~15 minutes.

Remember: consistent short sessions beat rare long ones. Don’t train intoxicated. Revisit vestibular PT if no improvement in 4–6 weeks.
